IMC 2020: Govt must incentivise investments in telecom infra, make spectrum affordable, says Ericsson’s Nunzio Mirtillo

New Delhi: Swedish telecom gear vendor Ericsson has urged the Indian government to incentivise investments in India’s telecom infrastructure sector, speed up spectrum availability and make spectrum prices affordable.

“Networks are as important to countries as roads and electric grids and airports. I strongly encourage India to prioritize actions to incentivize investments in digital infrastructure, including making spectrum more affordable and speeding up the availability of spectrum,” said Nunzio Mirtillo, Head of Market Area South East Asia, Oceania and India, at Ericsson.
