IIT Roorkee student released a native version of TikTok app

  • An IIT Roorkee student, Shivank Agarwal has come out with a short video sharing app “Mitron” on google play store. The app is seeing as India’s answer to TikTok.
  • Within a month’s time, it has crossed 50 lakh installations and become one of the fastest apps to reach such a milestone in the world.
  • Like TikTok, users will have access to a big library of multimedia content across the world. They just have to take a video and sync any music or popular movie dialogues into the scenes.
  • The app also allows its users to access a wide range of filters and tools to create, edit, and share their videos.
  • As of now, Mitron app is available only on Google Play store for Android phones (Android 5.0 or later versions). There is no official word on when the app will be available on Apple’s iOS platform.
