ICC media auction: Broadcasters in a fix after PwC exit

Top executives of all the four top broadcasters – Disney Star, Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), Viacom18 and Zee Entertainment Enterprises NSE 0.48 % – have pitched their tents in Dubai and are “deeply concerned” with the sudden exit of the process auditor PwC just days before the final submission of financial bids for the media rights of the ICC events on Friday. All the broadcasters have raised concerns regarding the news of PwC’s exit and have once again asked the International Cricket Council to ensure “fair and transparent” auctions in absence of an auditor.
