Hyderabad police arrest 9 in Rs 712 crore ‘Chinese investment fraud’

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad cyber crime wing on Saturday announced the arrest of 9 people, who were part of the Chinese-promoted Rs 712 crore fraud.

During the investigation, they also found that a portion of the amount also got transferred to terror outfit Hizbullah.

During a press conference, Hyderabad police commissioner CV Anand said that the fraud was executed by the accused on the instructions of their Chinese handlers by duping several Indians across the country through an investment fraud, wherein the victims were asked to complete different tasks in the various online assignments given to them.
