Hughes asks SC for time to pay
New Delhi|Mumbai: Hughes Communications has urged the Supreme Court to give it more time to clear its adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues, mirroring moves by Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel and Tata Teleservices.
The deadline set by the court is January 23. In its modification application filed on Wednesday, Hughes said calculations were long-drawn and would need more time than the three months given by court in October.
“Modify the order dated October 24, 2019, passed by this …court …. by permitting the applicant and respondent — Department of Telecom — to ascertain amounts due under the (October 24) judgement, including modalities and time frame,” it said.
