Huge interoperability opportunities between terrestrial & satellite networks: Satcom players

There will be huge opportunities of interoperability between terrestrial and satellite communications networks going forward making the satellite industry fairly mainstream, according to PJ Nath, MD & CEO, Nelco.

“The way the market is opening up and the kind of potential that we have in India, across the sectors be it fixed VSAT, B2B at the right time, technology and right price points, and also the B2C. Few segments have generated enough growth opportunities for the satellite industry globally and the same can happen in India as well. The areas where telecom service providers will not be able to provide reliable services, satellite industry will play a major role,” Nath said in a panel discussion in the Indian Space Conclave 2023 organised by Indian Space Association (ISPA).
