Huawei P50, P50 Pro may launch with Snapdragon 875

NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Huawei is having a really tough time courtesy US sanctions. It’s been more than a year since the US government imposed sanctions on various services offered by Huawei. As per the current US Sanction Huawei will not be able to work with TSMC which means that the company will not be able to produce its Kirin chipsets.
But now a fresh report suggests that Huawei still has some hope. According to a report by the Chinese media, the US government has granted a license to Qualcomm which allows the company to trade with Huawei. This means that Qualcomm will not be able to supply its processor to Huawei.
The smartphone maker has already paid an amount of $1.8 billion to Qualcomm to cover patent fees. The report further adds that if everything is done on time then it might be possible that next year, the Huawei P50 and P50 Pro might be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor. Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 will be the flagship launch of Qualcomm, which it will unveil in 2021.
