Huawei ban: Microsoft resume sales of Huawei laptops on its online store
Within a month of Microsoft removing Huawei laptops from its online store after the Donald Trump administration added Huawei to a trade blacklist, Microsoft has resumed sales of Huawei laptops like MateBook X Pro, MateBook 13 and MateBook on its online store. While Microsoft had remained silent after stopping sale of Huawei laptops, the software giant in a statement to The Verge confirmed that it is “resuming the sale of existing inventory of Huawei devices at Microsoft Store.”
The statement further clarified that the return of Huawei laptops doesn’t necessarily mean that Microsoft would continue to do business as usual. Microsoft would be selling the existing inventory of Huawei laptops only and there is no official word about future Huawei laptops. “Microsoft Store is selling existing inventory, which is compliant with current U.S. regulations,” the statement added.
