HPE doubles down on private 5G with Athonet acqusition

NEW DELHI: Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has doubled down on private 5G by acquiring Athonet, a private cellular network technology provider for enterprises and communication services providers (CSPs).

“Combined with the HPE telco and Aruba networking portfolios, Athonet will put HPE at the forefront of a growing market that is predicted by IDC to increase to more than $1.6 billion by 2026,” the company said in a statement Friday.
