HP grows amid a declining Chromebook market

The International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker reported a 31% year-over-year decrease in Chromebook shipments during Q1 2023.

In the market for Chromebooks, HP emerged as the leader with a 27.8% market share by shipping 1.1 million units. Further, HP was the only manufacturer which witnessed year-over-year growth in Q1 2023. Last year, HP shipped 0.8 million units, which turned a 35.5% growth for the company.

Following closely was Lenovo, with a market share of 21.3%, having shipped 0.8 million Chromebooks.
