How to use Prime Video’s new Dialogue Boost feature for a better listening experience

Amazon’s Prime Video has announced a new Dialogue Boost feature that lets users increase the volume of dialogue relative to background music and effects for a more comfortable hearing experience. While it’s built mainly for users who are hard of hearing, anyone can use the feature to hear dialogues better.

Dialogue Boost works by detecting parts in a movie or series where the dialogue is drowned out by other sounds and separates it from the noise. Then it improves the quality of the dialogue using AI. This way, Dialogue Boost only enhances the parts of the dialogue that need it, not the whole sound. Since it’s not tied to the centre channel in home theatre systems, the feature can be enjoyed anywhere the Prime Video experience is available.
