How Samsung may be an ‘important part’ of Apple iPhone 12

Alot has been reported about Apple’s iPhone 12 lineup — right from design to prices — in the past couple of weeks. Now we have new information on the display front of the upcoming iPhones that suggests that Apple is going to continue to rely on Samsung for their displays.
As per the report by Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), out of the four iPhones — iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max — that are reportedly coming in the second half of 2020, three of them are likely to house a display supplied by Samsung.
The iPhone 12, which is expected to house a 5.4-inch screen will feature flexible OLED from Samsung Display, claims the report. “We have seen reports that it will or will not have Y-OCTA. We believe it will have Y-OCTA integrated touch,” the report adds. The display resolution of the iPhone 12 is likely to be 2340 x 1080p with 475 PPI.
