How Apple may make an AR/VR headset with the ‘best’ display yet
Although Apple is yet to confirm it, rumours of the tech giant working on its AR/VR device have been circulating for a long time now. This headset is said to compete with the Meta’s Project Cambria one and the Pico 4 Pro. Apple is also rumoured to have already begun work on its second AR/VR device, which is said to be Apple Glasses.
Now, another rumour has surfaced according to which Apple has asked for 3,500ppi OLED Silicon panels from Samsung Display and LG Display, as per a report by The Elec. Before this, it was speculated that Apple had been requesting only 2,800ppi ones.
The Quest 2 headset has a 773ppi display, and Project Cambria is expected to come with a 1230ppi display. Hence, on paper, it is highly probable that the headset Apple plans to adorn the 3,500ppi display with could blow the competition out of the water.
