How AI is now being used to hire instead of replacing people

The “Startup” phenomena in India have grown significantly with over 39,000 registered startups and growing, with 1/4th of them in the technology space. They are also playing a pivotal role in job creation and expected to create 300,000 jobs in 2020 a 25 percent Y-o-Y increase over the previous year. An equal number of jobs are estimated to be created by the IT services sector this year.

The hype around robots taking away all jobs is slightly misplaced, as automation actually has a net positive impact on jobs count. Overall, the World Economic Forum predicts a decline of 0.98 million jobs and a gain of 1.74 million jobs, due to automation. By 2030, this evolution will create 85 percent of newer jobs which don’t even exist today.
