Honor may be working on a foldable smartphone, claims report
After Samsung and Huawei, the next company to make a foldable phone could be Huawei’s sub-brand Honor, according to a report by PhoneArena. As per the report, the brand has got two trademarks registered in China with the names of ‘Honor Magic Fold’ and ‘Honor Magic Flip’ which could be a giveaway to the types of the foldable devices in the works. While the former is believed to launch as a rival to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, the latter could be designed to rival the Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Motorola Razr. The phone(s) could launch either late this year itself or in the first quarter of 2022, predicts the report.
