Hike appoints new VP & Head of Engineering

Tencent-backed Indian social networking platform Hike has roped in Suvesh Malhotra as new VP & Head of Engineering. Prior to joining Hike, Malhotra held the position of Senior VP, technology at OYO Hotels and Homes.

“As part of my role in the company, I will be responsible for leading engineering functions at Hike with a specific focus for scaling the virtual world experience for HikeLand. I will be reporting directly to Kavin Bharti Mittal, Founder & CEO, Hike,” Malhotra told ETCIO. “The company has a unique disposition in the Indian tech ecosystem innovating at the intersection of Art and AI. I look forward to being part of Kavin’s vision of building a new social future,” Malhotra said.
