HFCL bags Rs 221.95 crores deal from Reliance Projects & Property Management, Jio
NEW DELHI: Homegrown telecom gear maker HFCL Monday said the company has won an order worth Rs 221.95 crores from Reliance Projects & Property Management Services Limited and Reliance Jio for the supply of optical fibre cables (OFC) and point-to-point unlicensed band radios (UBRs), respectively.
As part of the ~Rs42.71 crore purchase order, HFCL will be supplying 700 Mbps and 1 Gbps point-to-point UBRs to Jio. The purchase order has to be executed by July 2023, said the gear maker in a statement.
Operating within the unlicensed 5 GHz spectrum, these UBRs achieve a maximum throughput up to 1 Gbps, making them ideal for high-capacity enterprise applications and use cases such as smart cities and critical infrastructure, including electricity distribution grids and power plants.
