Here’s when Samsung’s US semiconductor plant’s construction will be complete
Samsung, besides Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), is expanding its manufacturing footprint in the US by setting up a new semiconductor plant. The South Korean giant has now provided an update on the work done with respect to the construction of a new semiconductor plant in Taylor, Texas.
As per Samsung Electronics Chief Executive Kyung Kye-hyun, the construction of the new plant is going smoothly and it will be completed this year as scheduled.
“The construction in Taylor is on track. The fab will be finished within this year and start producing the best products next year,” said Kyung, co-CEO at Samsung who is in charge of the tech giant’s chip business, in an Instagram post.
