Here’s what IT minister has to say on ISRO’s NavIC system in iPhone 15 Pro

Apple has launched the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max come with a lot of new features such as USB Type-C, a Titanium build and an Action Button. Apart from getting a new set of features, pro models also have support for India’s homegrown GPS alternative, NavIC. This is the first time that Apple has included this technology in any of its iPhone models. IT minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has lauded this “big milestone in India’s electronic and semiconductor progress.”

“In 2016, PM Narendra Modi ji during #NavIC’s launch rightly predicted that, ‘this will be our very own NavIC, which will be in our mobiles and give us our location and show us the way to our destination’.
