Here’s what IT minister has to say on iPhone hacking alerts claims

Soon after multiple opposition leaders in India claimed that they have received a notification from Apple that “State-sponsored attackers may be targeting your iPhone”, IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the government was concerned by the statements it has seen in the media from some MPs. He also stated that the “information by Apple on this issue seems vague and non-specific in nature.”

What’s the case
Leaders in opposition parties, including Trinamool Congress (Mahua Moitra), and Congress (Shashi Tharoor and Pawan Khera) posted screenshots on X (previously Twitter) of the notification alerts they had received. Reports suggest that users in nearly 150 countries have received such notifications.
