Here’s how WhatsApp plans to make in-app browsing safer

Facebook-owned WhatsApp is reportedly developing a new feature that will allow users to open a shared link via in-app browser. As reported by WaBetaInfo, the feature will come with WhatsApp version up to 2.19.74 which has been recently submitted under the Google Play Beta Program.
The in-app browser feature is under development and is yet not available for users. Once available, WhatsApp will show the in-app browser every time a user tries to open a link in any chat or conversation.
Will come with Safe Browsing
The upcoming feature also takes care of the users’ privacy and . It uses the Android API to open any link. “If you choose to use the in-app browser (when it will be available in future) you should not worry if WhatsApp and/or Facebook are reading websites you are visiting: they cannot access to your search history because the in-app browser uses an Android API, so everything is managed by the system”, the WaBetaInfo report said.
