HCL Technologies sees a scoring chance in ManU platform
PUNE: HCL TechnologiesNSE 0.33 % plans to hawk a fan engagement platform it built for English Premier League side Manchester United to other sports bodies and large consumer brands, in a bid to grow the higher margin IP-led services business.
HCL launched the platform — which includes an app, a new website and micro-sites — last year.
The top-tier IT services firm is talking to sports franchisees and consumer-facing businesses that may have similar requirements. This could cover a whole range of industries such as retail, consumer goods, and even wealth management firms that work with high net-worth individuals.
