Have ordered a probe on Apple spyware notices, say ministers
New Delhi: Top ministers said the Indian government has ordered an investigation into the warnings sent by Apple to members of opposition parties on attempts to hack their mobile phones. The ministers said the government will get to the bottom of it. .
“We are concerned by the statements we have seen in media from some MPs as well as others about a notification received by them from Apple. The notification received by them as per media reports mentions about ‘state-sponsored attacks’ on their devices. However, much of the information by Apple on this issue seems vague and non-specific in nature,” IT and telecom minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, addressing reporters Tuesday.
