Handset maker Lava rolls out medical, accidental insurance benefits worth Rs 50 crore for its partners’ field employees

NEW DELHI: Homegrown handset maker Lava on Thursday rolled out medical and accidental insurance for its partners’ field employees, comprising distributor sales executives, and delivery boys, in partnership with ‘New India Assurance’.

Under the partnership, 1 lakh of medical insurance cover and Rs 1 lakh of accidental insurance cover will be provided to each employee.

According to the handset maker, the benefits are worth approximately Rs 50 crore and will cover about 2,500 field employees.
