H-1B Visa

On January 24, 2017, Ms Lofgren introduced a Bill in the US Congress, for amending the Immigration and Nationality Act to reform the H-1B visa program. The Bill is called as the “High-Skilled Integrity and Fairness Act of 2017.” The proposal is to make the Bill effective from September 30, 2016, which shall apply to fiscal years beginning with 2017.
