Govt IT spending in India to grow 11.4% to $7.3 billion in 2021: Gartner

Bengaluru: IT research firm Gartner has forecast government IT spending in India to see 11.4% growth to $7.3 billion in 2021. Government spending in India will return to growth in 2021 after declining 11% in 2020.

“The Covid-19 pandemic was a pivot point not only for organizations but also for central and local governments to reconsider their outlook towards IT as an enabler for business continuity,” said Apeksha Kaushik, principal research analyst at Gartner.
