Govt asks WhatsApp to submit report on outage in next 4-5 days: Vaishnaw

NEW DELHI: The government on Wednesday said that it has asked global messaging app WhatsApp for a report on the long outage of its services on Tuesday.

Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the company has been asked to submit a report over the next 4-5 days, giving out reasons behind the blackout which is being seen as one of the longest outage of the popular platform.

“We have asked WhatsApp for a report, and expect it to come over the next 4-5 days,” Vaishnaw said.
