Government to form expert groups to explore adoption of common chargers, says Consumer Affairs Secretary

The government on Wednesday decided to form expert groups to explore adoption of common chargers for mobile, portable electronic devices.

“India can initially think of exploring shifting to two types of chargers, including C type. Shifting to common chargers is a complex issue; final decision will be taken after the considered view of all stakeholders,” PTI quoted Consumer Affairs Secretary as saying.
