Government plans to reskill 4 lakh IT professionals in the next 3 years

NEW DELHI: Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad expanded a programme on Wednesday to reskill the IT industry workforce in emerging technologies with the goal to train 4 lakh professionals in the next three years. The government has earmarked an investment of Rs 426 crore for the programme.

Prasad said that in a digital world trained workforce will become India’s biggest competitive advantage, and the Government is committed to work with the IT Industry and industry group NASSCOM to create “India Digital Talent Stack.”
