Government has a ‘Monti Ransomware’ warning for all corporate employee: What is it and how to secure your data
CERT-In has issued a new warning against a new ransomware that’s targeting organisations for malicious activities. The ransomware in question is named Monti and it’s a new variant, as per the report.
What’s the warning
According to the report, the new variant of the Monti ransomware has linux locked implemented which infect VMware ESXi servers and several organisations. As per the observation, the new variant has source code similar to that of Conti ransomware. Apart from that it employs the AES-256-CTR encryption, which depends on the file size for its encryption procedure.
