Google’s Gemini AI model may be ready to take on OpenAI’s GPT-4

Google announced its next-generation foundation model, Gemini, at I/O 2023. At that time, the company said that the model was under training and it would be available once it is fine-tuned and rigorously tested for safety. It is now being reported that the company has provided the model’s early access to a small group of companies, suggesting that it could soon be available for businesses soon.

According to a report by The Information, giving outside developers access to the software means Google is getting close to incorporating it in its consumer services, such as Bard AI chatbot.
