Google’s dialler app is set to get a ‘makeover’, here’s how it will look
Google has already explained several features it will be rolling out to Android smartphones as a part of its Android Q operating system, which is still in beta. Among a plethora of cosmetic changes in the UI, the search giant may overhaul the dialler app as well. This was recently confirmed when Google introduced some changes in its Phone app for beta testers. The changes are said to arrive in the form of a server-side update in version number 37. So, there is a good chance that you may not have seen it yet as the test is not available for all the Phone app beta testers around the globe.
As spotted by Android Police, the changes in the app include a refreshed look for the recent calls tab. You can check it by simply tapping on the ‘recents’ tab. If you come across a couple of blue-coloured ‘infotips’, then you’re one of the lucky ones. These ‘infotips’ suggest that the recent calls tab will be listed by contact instead of chronological order. If you want to stick with the chronological order, you can do it via the ‘settings’ option.
