Google’s Chrome browser now has over 3.2 billion users: Report
Google Chrome has been the most popular browser in the world for a while now, with Apple’s Safari its closest competitor on all platforms except tablets. A new report suggests that Google’s popular web browser is being used by over 3.2 billion users around the world.
Chrome has grown in popularity since its debut in September 2018 with less than one percent market share — at the time, Firefox users made up a third of all users, while Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (which is set to be retired in 2022) was the dominant browser with over 60 percent market share. According to a report by AtlasVPN, Google’s browser is now being used by 3,25,82,56,887 users – or 41 percent of the population and over 60 percent of all devices.
