Google’s AirPods rival pass FCC certification; may launch soon

Google’s upcoming truly wireless headphones and rival to Apple AirPods have passed through the FCC listing, according to a report by 9to5Google.

As per the report, the successor to the Google Pixel Buds have appeared with two model numbers — G1007 and G1008, which could either represent each earbud or one could be for the earbuds and the other for the charging case. Both model numbers come with the same Bluetooth frequencies, states the report.

In a footnote, the FCC listing reads, “The devices are too small to accommodate the FCC ID and also too small for the 15.19 statement. For this reason, the FCC ID and 15.19 statement will be on the packaging and also in the user manual.”
