Google working on a new AI-powered search engine: Report

Google is considered to be “late” in the artificial intelligence (AI) race but recent comments by company CEO Sundar Pichai suggested that being “first” is not on the company’s agenda. He also highlighted that the company has more powerful LLM models to make their AI offerings better. If a latest report is to be believed, the Alphabet-owned company is already working on a new AI-powered search engine along with some AI features to modernise its existing search engine.

Citing internal documents, a report by The New York Times, Google is “sprinting to protect its core business with a flurry of projects”.

A new search engine

The report said that the new search engine will offer users “a far more personalised experience than the company’s current service, attempting to anticipate users’ needs.”
