Google will now defend a $5 billion lawsuit after a US judge rejected the tech giant’s bid to dismiss it. The lawsuit claims that the company invaded the privacy of millions of people by tracking their internet use in “Incognito Mode.”

US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers said that she could not find that users consented to letting Google collect information about what they viewed online because the Alphabet unit never explicitly told them it would, a report by news agency Reuters said.
