Google to stop updating Chrome browser on these Windows PCs from 2023

Google is expected to launch version 110 of the Chrome browser on February 7, 2023. The tech giant has updated its official support page to announce that this version will be the last version of the popular browser to support the two older Microsoft operating systems for PCs—Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

Google’s decision to end support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users aligns with Microsoft’s decision to end support for these two operating systems starting January 10, 2023. An older version of Google Chrome will be available on these operating systems which will not receive the updates released for users and can put them at multiple risks.
