Google to kill this Google Assistant feature on March 23

NEW DELHI: Tech giant Google introduced celebrity voices for Assistant with John Legend at the 2018 Google I/O. The feature was available for users since last April and now the company has announced that it is shutting down Legend’s cameo voice on March 23.
Google made this announcement via its official Twitter handle. The company tweeted, “”#HeyGoogle, serenade me one more time.” Enjoy @JohnLegend’s cameo Google Assistant voice before it comes to an end on March 23.”
The company introduced the celebrity voices in Google Assistant for a limited time only. The company designed them to respond to popular queries and everyday questions.
Google uses celebrity voices for Google Assistant in order to get the accents, dialects and languages right along with the globe. So, some last few days are left for you to use the Google Assistant in the voice of popular musician John Legend. In order to enable the same, users just have to say ‘Hey Google, talk like a Legend’. On the other hand, you can also manually open ‘Assistant voice’ menu in the Assistant Settings.
