Google starts rolling out Locked Folder sync widely

Locked folder sync feature for Google Photos, which was announced last month, is now rolling out more widely. The feature became available to select users during the announcement and it kept arriving for users gradually. Now, 9to5Google has reported that the feature is now available to more users from across the globe.

According to the report, Google Photos users are now seeing the new prompt “Backup Locked Folder” at the top of Google Photos. If you are not seeing this prompt, then either your device still hasn’t received the update or you’ll need to manually Force Stop the app from App info and relaunch the app.
