Google Photos now lets you save images from Gmail with a single click
Ahead of the impending change that will cap users uploads to their 15GB account storage quotas next month, Google has been introducing several new features to its Photos service, in the hopes of retaining enough users on the service. The company is now adding support for a “Save to Photos” feature for Gmail that can directly save images to your collection.
Until now, receiving a photo in Gmail would display an option to download the image to your device, or save a copy on your Google Drive storage. Engadget reports that Google is now adding support for saving images to Google Photos directly, without having to save them to your computer first.
