Google partners with Airtel to take on Amazon in India

Amazon Web Services( AWS), the cloud services business of the company, is a leader in the space and to take on it Google has joined hands with Bharti Airtel. According to an official press release, the two companies announced a partnership targeting small and medium sized businesses. Airtel will now offer Google’s G Suite to small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) in India G Suite has apps like Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar and are designed with machine intelligence to help people work better and in a more secure manner.
Interestingly, a couple of months back Reliance Jio had announced its partnership with Microsoft, which was on the same lines. Reliance Jio had inked a 10-year partnership with Microsoft under which it will launch new cloud data centres in the country. Back then, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella had said that the partnership would help “more of Jio’s customers can access the tools and platforms they need to build their own digital capability,”
