‘Google, Novartis, Microsoft most preferred GBS employers in India’

BENGALURU: Google, Novartis, Microsoft, Target and Unilever, took the top five spots in a list of the most sought after GBS (global business services) employers in India based on a survey by US IT advisory Everest Group. The next five are American Express, Deutsche Bank, SAP, Varian and Dell.
GBS units offer centralised service delivery models that drive internal collaboration and efficiency improvements. Everest analysed over 200 leading GBS organisations across India, Poland, and the Philippines, targeting dimensions such as compensation, career progression, senior management, work-life balance, culture and values, and diversity.
It said the influence of work flexibility (for instance the option to choose one’s working model, work schedule flexibility, etc) on job satisfaction ratings is increasing across geographies.
