Google may have a new smartphone problem and it is ‘made in China’

For years now Google has enjoyed a monopoly when it comes to mobile operating system. Apart from iPhones, almost every other second smartphone in the world runs on Android giving Google unprecedented dominance. However, if a new report is to be believed, then Google will see a new credible threat coming out of China. As per a report by ZDNet, two of China’s biggest operating system makers are coming together to create a new “domestic operating system.” The two companies in question are China Standard Software (CS2C) and Tianjin Kylin Information (TKC).
The report stated that the new company after the partnership will work on the new operating system’s development, marketing, branding among other things. The base of the new OS will be the current Kylin and NeoKylin operating systems, the companies revealed. A new logo has also been created but a name hasn’t been finalised.
How this may affect Google?
So far there has been no successful viable alternative to Android, which means that every smartphone brand has to use.
