Google Maps now tells users in India how to ‘save fuel’: How to use it and all other details

Google Maps is the go to navigation app for many people across the world. Google routinely adds new features to the Maps app. In September 2022, Google had introduced a ‘fuel saving’ feature but it was available in US, Canada and Europe only. Now, this feature is available in India.

How does the feature work?
The feature that provides estimates of fuel or energy efficiency for various routes based on your vehicle’s engine type. By enabling this feature, Maps considers fuel or energy efficiency alongside factors such as real-time traffic and road conditions to determine the optimal route.
