Google is dropping Drive support from these three Windows versions, here’s how it will affect users

If you are a Google user, then it’s high time you should upgrade your Windows PC to the latest version — Windows 11 — or at least Windows 10 64-bit. This is because Google has announced discontinuation of its Google Drive service for Windows 8 and its improved version Windows 8.1.

Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 has reached end-of-life cycle

Microsoft has already shut down all the development for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems on January 10. That means, the operating systems are no longer supported by Microsoft and it won’t receive any new features or updates.
