Google is changing the way you enter OTPs on your PCs

Doing an online or banking transaction on laptop means ensuring that your phone is with you to enter the OTP recieved. This requirement/need may change in the coming weeks or may even in days — at least for Android phone users. Google is working on WebOTP API. This will allow websites the ability to programmatically obtain the one-time password from a SMS message and automatically fill the form for users with just one tap without switching apps.

In layman terms, Google is working on a feature to enable transferring SMS One Time Passwords (OTPs) from phones to PC with Chrome 93 update.
