Google is adding new tools for business owners
Internet search giant Google is rolling out new updates that are aimed at helping businesses communicate to their customers. In a blog post, Google said that people across the world are searching for “how to help small businesses” and search queries related to this reached an all-time high in March 2020, which is why the company is rolling out tools that will help businesses.
Firstly, the platform will add support for businesses to add donations and gift cards to their business profiles on Google in 18 more countries including Italy, Spain and Japan. Also, in the coming weeks users will be able to use Search and Maps to find all of the nearby businesses that are asking for support, said Google.
Secondly, Google will make it easier for businesses to connect with their customers virtually. Google said that the merchants who are verified on Google My Business will soon be able to add attributes like “online classes,” “online appointments,” or “online estimates” to their Business Profiles. This will tell their customers that they are operating. Also, the company is also expanding ‘Reserve with Google’ to help merchants offer an option to book appointments for online services.
