Google doubling down on Pixel smartphone strategy in India

NEW DELHI: American search giant Google will further double down on its Pixel smartphone strategy in India this year by bringing a successor to the Pixel 4a in larger quantities after the launch. It is also exploring possibilities to shift a portion of manufacturing of the device to India for both domestic and export needs.

“Google doubled inventory for Pixel for India last year and this year the intention is to further increase the focus and get larger share from global inventory for the India market,” a senior company executive told ET.
