Google Cloud appoints Bikram Singh Bedi as India head

Google Cloud on Thursday said Bikram Singh Bedi would succeed Karan Bajwa as its new Managing Director for India. Bedi joins Google Cloud from Grofers where he was President Strategy and New Initiatives.

Bedi has also worked with Amazon where he helped the company set up AWS business in India. He was the AWS head for India and South Asia for six years. Before this, he has worked with IBM and Oracle.

Bedi’s appointment comes after Bajwa was elevated as the leader for Google Cloud’s Asia Pacific region. Bajwa also led the India vertical until the new senior leader for business was appointed. Bajwa has replaced Rick Harshman for the Asia Pacific leadership role.
