Google CEO Sundar Pichai on the first email his father wrote to him

Everyone has an email story. Or rather their first email story. Perhaps most people would remember the first email they sent or received. Google CEO Sundar Pichai is no different and has shared an email story — of the time when his father got his first email address.

On the occasion of Google’s 25th birthday, Pichai posted a blog where he said that he has been thinking about “how far technology has come over the last 25 years and how people adapt to it.”

Pichai recalled how when he was studying in the US, his father got his first email address in India. “I was really excited to have a faster (and cheaper) way to communicate with him, so I sent a message,” the Indian-origin CEO of Google said.
